The Ambassador of Belarus to Israel visits Nof ha-Galil

On October 17, 2019, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the State of Israel E. Vorobyev paid a visit to Nof ha-Galil (until 2019, Nazareth Ilit).

During a meeting with the mayor of the city, Ronen Plot, which was also attended by Vice Mayor A.Gadalkin and General Director of the Municipal Industrial Zone S.Zlotnik, the diplomat briefed the partners on the current state of bilateral relations between the Republic of Belarus and the State of Israel.

The Ambassador informed about measures taken in Belarus to increase its investment attractiveness, paying particular attention to the IT sector.

Preliminary agreements were reached on the establishment of twinning of the Israeli city of Nof ha-Galil with one of the Belarusian towns, the elaboration of relevant proposals by the parties in the field of trade and investment cooperation, projects for the development of tourism, culture and sports.

On the same day, the Ambassador visited one of the enterprises of the KAWAR municipal industrial zone, which produces alcoholic beverages and distributes food products on the Israeli market, including Belarusian since March 2019, in particular, Alivaria beer, Belproduct chips, Nikitin seeds.

The central theme of the negotiations was the prospects for expanding the range of supplies of Belarusian food products to the Israeli market, including in the framework of the upcoming participation of the Belarusian delegation in the IDRAFOOD exhibition in Tel Aviv this November.
