Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in the State of Israe met with the Director of Standardization Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the State of Israel

On January 8, 2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in the State of Israel Evgeny Vorobyev met with the Director of Standardization Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the State of Israel Yakov Wachtel.

During the conversation, the interlocutors discussed the prospects of Belarusian-Israeli cooperation in accordance with the  plan of the Working Group in the field of Standardization, Metrology and Conformity Assessment. In particular, they agreed on the feasibility of its next meeting in Jerusalem in the first half of 2020.

A brief exchange of views took place on joint work with a view to concluding an Agreement on a Free Trade Zone between the Eurasian Economic Union and the State of Israel, as well as the possibility of cooperation in the field of accreditation at the level of the relevant authoritities of the parties.
