16.04.2026On April 16, 2026, Yury Yaroshevich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the State of Israel, met with Nili Shalev, CEO of the Israel Export Institute.
The Israel Export Institute is a non-profit organization that plays a key role in developing the country's foreign economic activity. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Israel’s diplomatic missions abroad, it supports the promotion of Israeli companies’ export capabilities and their access to international markets. Representatives of the Export Institute traditionally serve on the business delegations accompanying President of Israel Isaac Herzog during his visits abroad.
During the meeting, the Ambassador provided a detailed overview of the current state of the Belarusian economy, its achievements, and key development drivers. He also reviewed the state of Belarusian-Israeli trade and economic relations, and proposed specific areas for enhancing bilateral cooperation. In particular, he noted the need to resume the work of the bilateral trade and economic commission and conveyed proposals for participation in Belarusian exhibitions and holding joint business events, primarily in the fields of agriculture, healthcare, and information and communications technology.
Given the recent resumption of BELAVIA direct flights to Israel, the Ambassador invited the Export Institute to organize visits for Israeli business delegation to Belarus.
The meeting was held in a constructive manner. Following this, the parties agreed to hold a joint business event at the Israel Export Institute in the near future.
